Before the Coffee gets cold!

Book Review

Picking this book up has been a journey in itself. Being a part of a book club, this was nominated as our monthly read. The story blurb outlines itself as a Cafe that people use for "Time Travel"😁. Divided into 4 parts (or chapters) the book takes you through the experiences of these people who show an undeterred willingness to take the risks to revisit those moments in life when everything changed.  Set up in the old alleys of Tokyo this  Cafe has a specific seat where people sit to make the impossible - possible. But it's not all that easy to abide by, there are rules that must be followed & precautions that must be taken - no matter the situation, return to the present BEFORE THE COFFEE GETS COLD or else...👻

As the book has been exquisitely capturing the details of each character involved, it would be hard to pick a particular favourite part. The overall plot gave a perfect sprinkle of magical realism to keep the reader hooked up. Taking about magic, I definitely think there was some of it embedded into the writing style too. As this was both fast & slow exactly at the right moments, it captured not just the descriptive details but also the emotions of the people in the story. Often leaving you dewy-eyed towards the closure. Mind it my friends this comes from a person who rarely cries reading a book!

So a book that made me blabber on for such a long bit would surely deserve the best ⭐ for all the well-crafted experiences it gave me.
